Bakdes ( Bakti Desa) is an annual event held by SMAN 3 Bandung for the 11th graders to give the students experience living in a village. This event was held in Desa Cibeureum, Kecamatan Kertasari on 3 - 5 January 2019. Me and my group lived on a foster parent house. Each group has 4 - 5 member that lived on a different foster parent house.

When we arrived at the village, we were told to go to the main hall and the and the chief gives us words of welcome. After that we go to our foster parent house and introduce ourself to the foster parent until Ashar. After Ashar we play with the children at the field, the field is large, we played a lot of games until Maghrib. After thet we teach the children how to read Qur'an till Isya. Most of them are already good at reading Qur'an. After Isya we went to the house and rest.

The next day, we woke up very early and went to the mosque. One thing that still impressed me is the sky were filled with stars, on Bandung it's hard to even see one star, i'm so impressed that i stayed outside for awhile after we go to the mosque to enjoy the sky even though my friends already went to the house and it's freezing outside, i stayed outside until sunrise. After that there is  activities that the people there always do every friday called Jumat bersih (JumSih), we clean the entire village together. After JumSih we went to the potatoes garden and gain a lot of information regarding potatoe and how to farm them, the garden is not very far from the village but if we walk ther it's very tiring. After that we went back to the village and play with the children again until Maghrib. After Maghrib we read Qur'an together. After that we went back to our house and rest.

The third day is the last day we stay on the village. My class visited Situ Cisanti, but me and two other friends need to go to the hall and help the medical check up. There are so many people who went to the medical check up, so it's very tiring. After that we packed out stuff and said goodbye to the people there. We were very sad because we have to part with the people there. I learned so many knowledge and experience from bakdes. It's a memory that i will never forget.

On 26 January 2019, SMA Negeri 3 Bandung held an annual event called Edupassion. Edupassion is an event where students can gain information on many universities in Indonesia, even universities from another country.  This event is very helpfull for  students who still not sure where they want to study after highschool. Students can get the information by visiting stands and ask the person there. Me and my friends visited a lot of stands one of the is UNPAR Stand. In this stand i asked many question. I get a very detailed answer from the person in the stand. Another stand that we visited is UI or Universitas Indonesia. I really enjoyed this stand because not only they answer all my queston, they also gave me tips and tricks on how to get in UI.
